Ultrasound
Ultrasound is used to see internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs. Using high frequency sound waves, the radiologist can often determine the source of a disease or exclude any pathology. Only the best ultrasound equipment is used at Desert Imaging to ensure that image quality is perfect.
Ultrasound is usually the first line of imaging in determining the source of disease. Additional imaging, such as CT, MRI, or mammography may be recommended.

Obstetric ultrasound
Obstetric ultrasound is used to measure the developing fetus to make sure that growth is normal and that the baby is developing normally, as well.

3D and 4D Baby Imaging
3D and 4D Baby Imaging is also available at Desert Imaging. In 3D imaging, the baby is viewed in 3 dimensions with still pictures. In 4D imaging, the baby is viewed in 3 dimensions with movement. The best time to see your baby is between 26-31 weeks.
Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart and is referred to as an echo. It can utilize 2D, 3D, and Doppler to create images of the heart. It is used to diagnose, manage, and follow up patients suspected or having problems with their heart.
